HOW CAN I SPREAD THE WORD?
So let’s just say you have been a member of Jerky Direct for several months now or maybe even a year or two and you have become addicted to these all-natural and organic meat snacks. The inevitable conclusion that we all reach is that it sure would be nice to get some or all of our monthly purchase paid for since everyone’s favorite jerky is “free” jerky! Or better yet, maybe build a group underneath ourselves that would even put money in our pocket every month. But how do you even start and who would you talk to about this great product and opportunity?
One of the most solid concepts in network marketing is that of the “Warm List” or better yet, the “Hot List”. This is done by writing down 100 names of people within your circle of influence. Begin with immediate and extended family and then continue with people you rub shoulders with in the workplace. People and customers that depend on you for their business are especially great since they are generally very willing to listen to any great idea or opportunity you might care to share with them. Do not stop there. What about your circle of acquaintances at your local church or synagogue? You cannot forget about that band of parents and friends that you stand shoulder to shoulder with each week while watching your kids play soccer in the freezing wind. Or the guy that you trust to fix your 1984 Ford truck each time it breaks down and the list goes on and on. The reality of life is that we all help each other and do favors for each other and people are far more willing to hear what we have to say than we would ever imagine.
Especially when accompanied with a delicious product like the Jerky Direct family of healthy snacks!
Once the list has been made, identify the individuals that you feel you should approach first and then set yourself a goal. Maybe it is one a day or maybe it is one per week – the most important thing is to make the list, set a goal in writing and then tell someone about what you are doing such as a spouse, close friend or other family member. It is amazing how letting another person know what it is we wish to do can incentivize us even more than keeping it to ourselves.
Your Hot List will become your touchstone to success as you begin to share a fun and exciting business opportunity with the people in your ever-expanding circle of influence. Refer to it daily and stick to the goals you have set for yourself and you will be repaid many fold for your efforts.

• Training Presentation DVD. The content of this DVD is dated and many portions no longer apply to the current program at Jerky Direct so it is being discontinued. It is not our intention to sell or send you any materials that will not be completely useful or helpful.
• Hats and Shirts. The possibility of trying to stock all the t-shirts, polo shirts and hats in the colors, sizes, fabric type and logo type that people may want is unrealistic. No matter what is ordered, it never seems to be what people want and since no one knows what people want better than those people themselves, there will be a change here as well. Anyone desiring shirts, hats or anything that would involve the Jerky Direct name and logo will be welcome to request that artwork be emailed to them and this artwork can then be taken to their own local provider of shirts and hats. These logos are also now available to be pulled directly off your website and you can find them listed under “Printable Materials”. This will guarantee that from now on, everyone will be able to get exactly what they want in whatever sizes they want where they can touch and feel the merchandise or try them on prior to buying and save on freight as well.+

One of the exciting parts of Jerky Direct is the chance we have to listen to your comments and feedback since this is a company powered by the members and their cumulative efforts to grow it and share it with everyone that they know. Thanks to your enthusiastic response to last month’s new Buffalo Steak Program, we offer an update on the results of this new offering.
BUFFALO STEAK UPDATE
This exciting new program has shown tremendous promise based on your reaction. With multiple orders right out of the gate, it appears to be a high protein winner for Jerky Direct that will be available to you and your team for years to come! If you have not yet checked this program out, you should review it in the July 2010 Newsletter which is posted on the webpage. You should also click on the “Buffalo Meat” tab in the shopping area and become familiar with the four special types of steaks that are being made available to you.
It should be explained that these premium quality steaks are shipped frozen in a protective freezer box and are packed in dry ice. Due to the nature of this unique shipping program, regardless of the day that you place your order, orders will only be shipped on the following Monday or Tuesday from the day you order. This will ensure that your frozen buffalo steaks arrive to you during the week and do not end up sitting in a UPS warehouse or on your door step over the weekend.
It has also been asked by a few why it is that these buffalo steaks do not carry any downline compensation with them? As you have now gathered, buffalo steak is one of, if not, THE premium source of savory protein on earth and as such, does not have an entry level price tag by any means. The initial desire was to get this quality product into your hands at the most reasonable price possible and not encumber the sales of this meat by adding any additional mark-up in order to pay out downline commissions. That is not to say that this could not be a possibility in the future. In fact – if you have a compelling reason or idea why it might be in everyone’s best interest to mark these steaks up an additional amount in order to facilitate downline compensation, we would welcome your thoughts and observations.

Clam Jerky eh?

I’m giving this a fair rating.

I have to credit the folks at Tengu for packing in a lot of clam flavor into this jerky, but that’s really all your getting here, aside from a strong salt flavor. I’m not sure Americans want to eat dried clam for the sake eating clam, however. At least I don’t. I’d be more interested in this if they could add some other taste interest, like hot sauce, or wasabi.

Still, for those folks who want lots of clam flavor, maybe this is your thing (or at least until supplies disappear from store shelves). For myself, this comes across as being rather tiring, and I’m losing interest fast.

You’ll definitely need to get some strong breath freshener afterwards.

Mr.Z Sweet and Hot

“I’m giving this an average rating.

This sweet & hot variety from Mr. Z. is mostly a snackable jerky, providing some decent flavor, a good chewing texture, and some ease in eating. In trying to decide if it’s above average, I couldn’t find anything. It’s overall flavor is enjoyable, but still largely average.

While it does live up to being a sweet & hot variety, it doesn’t really punch that flavor out of the ballpark. It’s just moderately sweet, and maybe mild-medium in terms of being hot. You’re getting a low level of hot that 80% of the people in the world can tolerate. When I evaluate a sweet & hot variety, I want something so sweet that it brightens up my day, and then socks me in the gut with some burning hot flames. It just doesn’t do this.

And the overall flavor is not really that exciting. It’s just the moderate level sweet & hot, some saltiness, and traces of garlic and natural meat flavors. It’s rather plain, but still snackable.

Compared to Oberto, Jack Link’s, Bridgford, and other mass-market brands, it’s right on par. If Mr. Z. can keep its prices low, and stick with the 4oz package size, compared to the 3.5oz sizes the other brands are using, I think it’s poised to grab some market share.

My recommended beer pairing, a wheat beer or hefeweizen, I think will compliment this well.”

Jerky Direct Teriyaki Turkey Jerky

5 stars! The best turkey jerky I’ve ever had. Normally, I’m not a huge turkey jerky fan, but this stuff is fantastic. It’s got just the right texture and consistency without getting tough or chewy like some other turkey jerky’s. They spice it up nicely with pineapple juice in the recipe, just delicious. I definitely recommend it to you.

Cactus Jerky

Terrible! But hey, I’m not a vegetarian. I just thought I’d give it a try. It tasted like a giant cranberry that was smushed down into a jerky slab with a sour, tart flavor and unusual spicings. I can’t recommend it personally, but it’s a vegetarian alternative I suppose.
